Try out my own twist on a traditional porridge…packed with fresh flavour and guaranteed to give you a great start to the morning.

Gluten, Dairy and Sugar Free.

Serves: 2

Ingredients

2 Cups Wild Black Rice
4 Cups Almond Milk
¼ Cup Desiccated Coconut
2 Kiwi Fruits, sliced
¼ Cup Slivered Almonds
2 Tablespoons Honey (or more to taste)

To make the porridge

Cook Black Rice on the stove with almond milk.
Meanwhile lightly toast almonds in a dry fry pan on low heat until golden brown.
When rice is cooked, serve into two bowls.
Sprinkle coconut, toasted almonds and Kiwi fruit over each bowl of black rice and drizzle with honey.
